Kofola came about in the former Czechoslovakia when a pharmaceutical company was looking for something to do with the excess caffeine that resulted in the process of coffee roasting. The company came up with a dark, sweet syrupy srink called Kofola. The brand did well against American rivals Coca Cola and Pepsi due to the fact it was around half the price. Caffeine content is higher than Coke and Pepsi but sugar levels are about 30% less. The taste is definately a unique one and well worth a go if you get the chance.
